Forged carbon mirror caps – Toyota GR Yaris MK1/MK2: what they are for

The material: Carbon

Carbon fibre is lightweight and rigid: for the same shape, it weighs less than sheet metal and does not deform easily. The visible weave, visible beneath the transparent resin, is not a print: it is the actual fabric of the piece. The stated weight is approximately 1 kg.

Finishes and versions

The finishes available are gloss and matt: the gloss finish reflects light and highlights the texture, whilst the matt finish tones it down and shows fewer fingerprints.

How it fits on the Toyota GR Yaris

It is fitted in place of the standard part or on top of it, without making any permanent alterations to the car. Before securing it, it is advisable to carry out a dry fit: check that the mounting points line up and that the distances are the same on both sides.

Compatibility

Care and cleaning

Wash it with water and mild soap, just like the rest of the bodywork. Avoid abrasive polishes and directing a high-pressure washer too closely at the edges: the resin on the surface is hard but thin, and once it has become dull, it will not recover on its own. If you keep your car outdoors all year round, you can apply a wax or a protective treatment for painted surfaces.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it fit my Toyota GR Yaris? It’s designed for that model, but different trim levels and model years may mean the mounting points are different: send us the chassis number and we’ll check it before you place your order.

Need a car mechanic? Usually not: it fits in place of the standard part without any permanent modifications. A test fit before securing it in place clears up almost all doubts.

Is it real carbon? Yes: the material is carbon fibre, not a film that imitates it. The photos on this page show the item you will receive.

Is this a genuine spare part? No, and it’s only fair to say so: it’s a compatible aftermarket accessory. The makes mentioned are simply there to indicate which car it’s suitable for.
